Where we stay

Villa Peramonda

A restored country house in the hills of Fiesole, just above Florence — terracotta floors, shuttered windows, and a long table built for slow evenings. It sleeps the whole group, so the community never really leaves the court.

Olive groves and cypress lanes roll out in every direction. A pool to cool down between sessions, shaded terraces for morning coffee, and the Duomo sitting in the valley below.

  • Sleeps 12 across en-suite rooms
  • Pool & sun terraces
  • Private chef's kitchen
  • Clay courts minutes away

A typical day

How a day unfolds.

A guide, not a timetable. Days shift with the weather, the group, and how long lunch runs.

  1. 08:00Stretching & mobility

Optional, on the terrace as the valley wakes up. Forty easy minutes that make the courts feel a decade kinder. Sleep in if you'd rather.

  2. 08:30Breakfast on the terrace

Coffee, fruit, pastries from the village bakery. Then a slow morning — the courts don't need you until eleven.

  3. 11:00Two hours on clay

Group sessions split by level. Technique, drills, and points that actually mean something — twelve hours of coaching across the week.

  4. 14:00A long lunch

Straight off the court and into the water, then local, seasonal food at the long table. Wine if you want it — you're not driving.

  5. 15:00The afternoon is yours

Florence in twenty minutes, a vineyard tasting, a walk into Fiesole, or a book by the pool. Nothing is compulsory.

  6. 19:30Dinner

Out at one of our tables in Florence, or here at the villa for pizza night and the cooking class. We drive, always.

  7. 22:30Last glass on the terrace

Florence lit up below, the day replayed point by point. The part nobody plans and everybody remembers.

About those five dinners

Two dinners happen at the villa — a pizza night with our hosts on the first evening, and the cooking class you'll sit down to eat. The other five, we take you out. After years of coming here we know which tables are worth the drive: family trattorias in Florence, a butcher's grill in Chianti, places that don't take walk-ins. We reserve every one of them for the group; you simply pay for your own meal on the night. It's the part guests talk about long after the tennis.

Securing your place
A deposit confirms your place; the balance is due before we travel. We'll set the details out clearly when we reply — no surprises, ever.

Set aside roughly €35–50 for each of the five dinners out. That's a full meal with wine at the kind of place we'd take our own family.

Practical

Good to know

The questions everyone asks before they say yes. If yours isn't here, just ask us.

Where you'll stay
Villa Peramonda, in the hills of Fiesole — twenty minutes above the centre of Florence.
Getting there
Fly to Florence (FLR), about 30 minutes from the villa. Pisa and Bologna both work too. We collect you and drive you back — all transport is included.
Who it's for
All levels, from returning-after-years to solid club players. Sessions are split by level, so nobody is out of their depth or held back.
Coming alone
Most people do, and it's the easiest way to arrive. Twelve guests, one long table — you won't be on the edge of anything.
What to bring
Tennis kit and clay-court shoes if you have them; rackets and balls are here if you don't. Something for a Florence dinner, and swimwear.
Bringing a partner
Very welcome, tennis or not. There's plenty here for someone who'd rather be at the pool, in Florence, or in the kitchen.
